About Us

Our History

The stately landmark building which houses Liston Funeral Home was the first funeral home in North Ridgeville. Built as a residence over a century ago, the gracious structure was converted into a funeral home in 1963 by Harold and Kathy Bogner.

In 1986 the Bogners sold the funeral home to Busch Funeral Homes of Cleveland. In 1995, Bob Liston, then a Busch employee, became the manager of the funeral home, where he worked closely with Harold and Kathy Bogner for the next year.

In 2001 Bob and Renee Liston were given the opportunity to purchase the funeral home from Busch Funeral Homes. They have been living upstairs and operating the business as Liston Funeral Home, historic site of Bogner Funeral Home, since that time. They are honored to be entrusted with serving local families out of North Ridgeville's historic funeral home.
