Margaret S. Ellison (nee Watkins), 89, of Columbia Station, passed away Tuesday August 28, 2012 at her residence, following a short illness.  Mrs. Ellison was born May 27, 1923 in Akron.  She had been a resident of Columbia Station for over 50 years.  She was a homemaker.  Mrs. Ellison worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” in Akron during WWII.  She was an active member of the North Ridgeville Senior Center.  Mrs. Ellison enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and traveling.  She is survived by four daughters, Rosemary Hylton (Jim) of Elyria, Kathleen Kieft (Gary) of Mesa, AZ, Chris Richards (Rick) of Grafton and Mary Waite (Steven) of Elyria; two sons, Ed Ellison (Janice) of Parma and John Ellison Jr. (Diane) of Medina; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her Husband, John Ellison in 2000, by her parents, Edward and Nellie (nee Hakes) Watkins, one sister, Lillian Wetmore, and by three brothers, Bill, Art and Bob Watkins.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 8pm Thursday at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  Funeral Services will be Friday August 31, 2012 at 10:00am in the A-Frame Chapel at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 3700 Center Road (Route 83), in Avon.  Rev. Michael Richards will officiate.  Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.  The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either Bay View Hospice, 38600 Center Ridge Rd., Suite 2201, North Ridgeville, OH 44039, or to the North Ridgeville Senior Center, 7327 Avon-Belden Rd., North Ridgeville, OH 44039 or to The American Cancer Society.
