Frederick “Fred” Lowe, 88, of North Ridgeville, passed away August 28, 2012 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.  Fred was born in Drill, Virginia on June 21, 1924 and was a North Ridgeville resident since 1963.  He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII.  Fred worked for GM in Parma for thirty years and retired in 1985.  He enjoyed gardening. 

   Fred is survived by his wife of 62 years Julia (nee George); 3 sons, Fred D. (Terril) of California, Michael (Gloria) of Wellington and Robert (Vickie) of Elyria; 1 daughter, Rita Reitknecht (Britt) of North Ridgeville; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, 1 son, 1 brother, Alfred and 1 sister, Vernal.

   The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd. (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  Funeral Services will be Saturday September 1, 2012 at 11:00am at the funeral home.  Rev. Brian Gardiner will officiate.  Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon, where members of the honor guard from VFW Post #9871, North Ridgeville will conduct full military honors.
