Mary L. Hunt (nee Green), 74, of Columbia Station, passed away Friday October 12, 2012 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after fighting a fearless three year battle with cancer, with God by her side every step of the way. She was born October 29, 1937 in Cleveland. Mrs. Hunt had been a resident of Columbia Station for over 50 years. She was a homemaker and “the best mom in the whole world”. Mrs. Hunt also formerly worked at Modern Tool & Die, Zayre’s Department Store and at Traveler’s Inn in North Ridgeville where she was the head maid and ran the laundry department. She was a member of Apostles Doctrine Church in Lorain and she was formerly involved with her family at the Columbia Game Club. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, church activities, singing, playing the piano, puzzles, picnics, animals and fellowshipping with her neighbors. Her greatest joy came from her family and her faith. Mrs. Hunt is survived by her husband of 55 years, Landon Eugene Hunt; six daughters, Denise Mlinko of Lakewood, Brenda Cuevas of Sheffield Village, Mary Fox of Akron, Linda Hunt of Tennessee, Judy Glennon of Green and Twyla Rundle of Columbia Station; three sons, Landon Eugene Hunt Jr., Dwayne Paul Hunt and William Carl Hunt, all of Columbia Station; 28 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, William Green of Cleveland and by her puppy, Cuddles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Milton and Vollie Green. The family will receive friends on Monday October 15, 2012 from 5 to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd. (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The funeral service will be Tuesday October 16, 2012 at 11:00am at the funeral home. Rev. Roy L. McGlugritch, pastor of Apostles Doctrine Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
