Debra "Debbie" J. (Knight) Rice

Debra J. “Debbie” Rice, 60, of North Ridgeville, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018.  Debbie was born on June 14, 1957 in Elyria and was a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville.  Debbie was an Elyria License Bureau employee for more than twenty years.  She enjoyed shopping, especially for shoes!  She also loved yard work, gardening and caring for her flowers.  Debbie truly loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She is survived by two daughters, Stacy Rice and Wendy Reisner (Ben), both of North Ridgeville; seven grandchildren, Autumn, Savannah, Carly, Jaxon, Kendal, Reagan and Skylar; her eighty-seven year old mother Ruby Knight (also known to all as “Granny”); one brother, Leroy Knight (Margie); one sister, Barb Gouge; many nieces and nephews; and also by her in-laws whom she considered to be siblings, Paul, Steve (Cheryl), Patti and Kathi (Rick).  She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Jay; her father, Thurman Knight; one sister, Janice Sue Knight and her parents-in-law, Harry “Red” and Janet Rice.  The family will receive friends on Saturday January 6, 2018 from 1:00pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm, at Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd. (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.
