Helene P. (Manco) Moorman

Helene P. Moorman (nee Manco), 82, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday February 2, 2018 at Broadview Multi Care Center in Parma.  She was born November 8, 1935 in Cleveland. Helene resided in Cleveland for many years before moving to North Ridgeville in 1994.  In 2016, after a serious illness, she moved to the assisted living community at Bloom in Lakewood.  Helene worked at Bank Systems in Cleveland for many years where she made many friends.  She enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards and traveling to casinos with her husband Bob. In her younger years, Helene and her husband, along with their daughter, would rent a cabin for one week every summer on Kelly’s Island where they would fish and explore the island together.  She is survived by: her daughter, Patricia Ilavsky (Ronald) of Cleveland; and by two sisters, Patricia Gray of Florida and Arlene Planicka (Anton) of Brunswick; She was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert A. Moorman in 2013 whom she married in 1958; her parents, Patrick and Beatrice; and by two brothers, Patrick and Terrance.  The family will receive friends on Saturday February 17, 2018 from 12:30pm until the time of the memorial service at 1:30pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  Pastor Dena Williams will officiate.  Burial will be at Ridgeville Cemetery in North Ridgeville.  The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
