Jessy A Kidwell

Jessy A. Kidwell, 38, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Thursday March 22, 2018 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center in Elyria.  He was born August 9, 1979 in Elyria and was a life-long resident of the area.  Jessy was a contractor and worked for various construction companies, specializing in home remodeling.  Jessy’s main hobby and passion was the demolition derby and he built several derby cars.  He also regularly competed at the demolition derby contests at the New London Recreation Park and at the Huron County Fairgrounds.  Jessy was an avid football and basketball fan and he coached youth football.  He also enjoyed fishing, camping, dogs, helping others and making others laugh.  His greatest joy in life was to spend time with his family.  He is survived by; his son, Devyn Kidwell of Elyria; three daughters, Mariah Kidwell of Elyria, Taylor Mercado of Sandusky and Kayla Evege of Mansfield; one granddaughter, Priscilla and two more grandchildren on the way; his mother, Debbie Kidwell of Elyria; his sister, Tana Kidwell of Elyria; his Soul-Mate, Crystal Lesle of Elyria; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  The family will receive friends on Sunday March 25, 2018 from 3 to 6pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  The Funeral Service will be Monday March 26, 2018 at 1:00pm at the funeral home.  Pastor Cliff Morris from Lakeview Baptist Church in Vermilion will officiate.  Burial will be at Fields Cemetery in North Ridgeville.  A benefit for family and friends is being planned for in the near future.
