Mary Lou Stevens (nee Conley), 90, of Westlake, formerly of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on Monday February 26, 2018 at the Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve in Westlake. She was born March 22, 1927 in McVeigh, KY. Prior to moving to the Lutheran Home in Westlake, she had been a Lorain resident for many years. Mary Lou’s passion was her family and she was always working hard, serving others. She was active in several area churches and she taught Sunday school for many years. With Christ’s strength, Mary Lou raised three boys on her own. She was also a Gold Star Mother. Mary Lou is survived by; two sons, William Virgil Stevens of Medina and Ellis Scott Stevens (Jodi) of North Ridgeville; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; and by a “special daughter”, Debbie Borrelli (Dave) of Vermilion. She was preceded in death by; a son, Rodney Franklin Stevens who passed away on August 4, 1969 while serving with the US Army in Viet Nam; her parents, Winfield Scott and Margaret (nee Morris) Conley; and by 12 siblings. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 1, 2018 from 6 to 8pm and on Friday March 2, 2018 from 10am to 11am at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The Funeral Service will be Friday March 2, 2018 at 11am at the funeral home. Pastor Jeffery Smith from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Westlake, will officiate the service. Burial will be at Ridgeville Cemetery in North Ridgeville. In lieu of flowers, because of Mary Lou’s love for children, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
