Rae M. (Raschke) Ulrich

Rae M. Ulrich (nee Raschke), 74, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Friday May 5, 2017 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake with her family by her side.  She was born January 20, 1943 in St. Joseph, Michigan.  Mrs. Ulrich had been a North Ridgeville resident for 30 years.  She was employed as a medical secretary at St. John’s Medical Center in Westlake for 19 years and retired in 2007.  She loved gardening, crocheting, knitting, painting with oils, floral arranging and clay sculpturing.  She was very artistic and enjoyed sharing her talents with her family and friends.  She also loved her “Kitty”.  Mrs. Ulrich is survived by; her husband of 37 years, Robert; two sons, Kurk Collis (Ruth) of Airville, PA and Dan Collis (Kelly) of Ruskin, FL; one step-daughter, Kaele Wiberg (Kevin) of Springville, UT; one step-son, Amory Ulrich (Kim) of North Ridgeville; eight grandkids, Ashley, Holli, Kiana, Knekia, Richard, Colton, Darin and Kimberly; five great-grandkids, Roslyn, Liam, Grayson, Lily and Damien; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Andrus (Bill) of Dickinson, ND and Peggy Raschke of Niles, MI; her dear friend, Eleanor Mergo of Westlake and by several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by: her parents, Raymond and Margaret (nee Mendenhall) Raschke, a son, Darin Harris, a step-son, Daymon Ulrich, and by her brother, Leonard Rashke.  The family will receive friends on Monday May 8, 2017 from 5:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:00pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate the service. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Research.
