Sharon Ann Shriver (nee Hamilton), 69, of Grafton, passed away Sunday January 29, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland following a short illness. She was born May 22, 1947 in Portland, Indiana. She had been a Lorain County Resident for 34 years. She was a 1965 graduate of Williamstown, West Virginia High School and she attended Beauty College for two years. Mrs. Shriver was retired from Oberlin College where she was employed as the Catering Supervisor for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, working crossword puzzles and shopping. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, James; three daughters, Tricia McCarrick (Kevin) and Tiffany Tackett (Matt), both of Grafton and Erin Brown (Guy) of Monroe, GA; two sons, Eric Shriver (Bev) and Mark Shriver, both of Wakeman; 15 grandchildren, Stephanie, Shawn, Samantha, Sarah, Erin Kay, Katharine, Eric II, Sydney, Seth, Sophie, Kenzie, Emily, Sadie, Loral and Mason; eight great-grandchildren (and two on the way!); and by one sister, Carolyn Wells (George) of Williamstown, WV. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Winford and Wavelene (nee Smiley) Hamilton; and by two brothers, Larry Dwain and Donald Victor Hamilton. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 2, 2017 from 5 to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The funeral service will be Friday February 3, 2017 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Rev. Ray Carpenter officiating. The committal service will be Friday at 2:00pm at Wooster Cemetery, 983 Madison Ave., Wooster, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Cleveland Clinic Hospice.
