Christopher D. Seman

Christopher D. Seman, 51, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday March20, 2024 at St. John’s Medical Center in Westlake following a short illness.  Chris was born January 9, 1973 in Cleveland and he was a life-long resident of North Ridgeville.  He attended St. Peter Elementary School in North Ridgeville and was a 1991 graduate of North Ridgeville High School.  Chris was a veteran and served in the US Navy from 1991-1998 and worked as a Plane Captain.  For 24 years, he worked as a Maintenance Technician for Spectrum Cable and more recently, he was working as a Field Technical Specialist for DPS in Richfield.  Chris was a family man and he cherished his loved ones.  He also enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, and flying radio controlled airplanes.  Christopher Seman is survived by: his wife, Renee (nee Forristal); his two children, Jessica Amber (Amos) of Waverly, and Justin Seman (Giselle) of Pearl Harbor, HI; two step-children, Vince Lang (Christina) of Olmsted Falls, and Haley Yasenchak (Branden) of Brunswick; three grandchildren, Ethan, Lilly, and Sienna; his father, Tom Seman of Oberlin; his sister, Katheryn Womack of Shanghai, China; his brother, James Seman (Becky) of Lorain; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.  He was preceded in death by, his mother, Mary Seman (nee Schmelzer) in 2020.  The family will receive friends on Monday March 25, 2024 from 4 to 7pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  The funeral service will be Tuesday March 26, 2024 at 10am at the funeral home with Father Isidore Munishi from St. Peter Catholic Church officiating.  Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville where full military honors will be observed.
