Values begin at home. Bob and Renee work, live and have raised their family at the funeral home. Their oldest child Curtis, a graduate of Lorain County Community College, is in the US Air Force and is currently stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Ramstein, Germany working in the area of radio frequency transmissions. Curtis married Jessica (nee Grasmueck) on January 10, 2014 in Germany and the entire Liston Family was able to attend the ceremony. Their daughter, Amy, is a student at Bethel College in Indiana where she is majoring in American Sign Language. A gifted singer and actress she has participated in many productions at The Olde Town Hall Theater in North Ridgeville. Renee keeps busy taking care of the needs of both their family and the families served at Liston Funeral Home.
Robert Liston
Co-owner/President, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
Bob was raised in Columbia Station, just a few miles from the funeral home, and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 35 years. In purchasing the Liston Funeral Home he fulfilled a lifelong dream of serving people by caring for them when they most need compassion, direction and respect.
Bob is an active member of Grace Baptist Church of Westlake. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of North Ridgeville. Bob and his wife, Renee, enjoy traveling to Turkey to visit their daughter, Amy, and their son-in-law, Tugrul; as well as to Germany to visit their son, Curtis.

David Swartz
Funeral Assistant
Dave was raised in North Olmsted and has lived in North Ridgeville for 37 years. He retired from American Greetings Corporation after 45 years in the Information Services Division. Dave and his wife Karen have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.
He attends North Olmsted Evangelical Friends Church and is active in the music, missions, and the Senior care ministries. He is also the Collection Manager for Operation Christmas Child at Friends Church.
Dave is an ordained minister through World Christianship Ministries of Fresno, California and is the Pastor and Founder of Christian Service Ministries in North Ridgeville.

Shawn Griggs
Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
Shawn grew up in South Amherst, Ohio. He is a long-time friend of Bob's son, Curtis, and the entire Liston Family. After graduating from Firelands High School he went on to receive his Bachelors Degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Shawn began his year-long apprenticeship at Liston Funeral home in 2017. After completion of his apprenticeship, he has continued to help families with Liston Funeral Home as a full time Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.
