Barbara `Ann Cope

Barbara Ann Cope, 86, formerly of Lakewood, went home to be with the Lord Oct. 5, 2017 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born September 18, 1931 in Lakewood. She taught school a few years in Lorain and in San Bernardino and Adelanto, California. She then served as a missionary, teaching Navajo children in Arizona and New Mexico. She retired in 1998 and moved to Michigan in order to be close to family. She enjoyed serving at her church, but her main ministry was that of being a faithful prayer warrior. She is survived by sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Fousek (Mel), and Nancy Payton, nieces Kimberly Southwell (Phil) and Rebecca Konuch (Tim), nephew Thurman Payton (Lisa), 11 great nieces and nephews and 3 great, great nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, October 16, 2017 from 12 Noon to 1 pm at Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road (at Stoney Ridge Road), North Ridgeville. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Elmhurst Park Cemetery in Avon.
