Billie Lynn (Riech) Lavery

Billie Lynn Lavery, 73, of North Ridgeville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August, 17, 2017 at Ames Family Hospice following a long illness.  Billie was born on October 8, 1943 in Elyria, Ohio and was a North Ridgeville resident for 45 years.  Billie started working in her mom’s beauty shop (Vera’s) when she was a teenager and went on to be a beautician for more than fifty years.  She was an owner/operator at Vera’s and then she went on to work at Mi Ohn Beauty Shoppe in North Olmsted for many years.  Billie was a member of New Community Baptist Church in North Ridgeville.  She was a good soul, generous and truly kindhearted, and she was the rock of her family. She cherished the time she got to spend with them.  Billie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Patrick J.; one daughter, Terrie Cape (Chad) of North Ridgeville; one son, Chris Lavery (Tricia Komora Lavery) of Parma; three grandchildren, Nico Cape (Stephanie), Sumer Cape and Finnegan Lavery; two brothers, Richard Riech (Toni) and Curtis Hockman and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother Vera Mae Riech.  Graveside services will take place Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 North Ridge Road, Amherst. Pastor Brian Gardiner will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Ames Family Hospice.
