Delores (White) Thomas

Delores Thomas (nee White), 82, of Elyria, passed away on Saturday July 20, 2019 at the Weslyan Village in Elyria following a long illness.  She was born February 28, 1937 in Savannah, Georgia and had been a Lorain County resident for many years.  Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker.  When she was younger, she enjoyed bowling and roller skating.  She loved her family and her late poodle, Angel.  Delores Thomas is survived by; her husband of 62 years, Max H. Thomas; one daughter, Linda Marie Guthrie (Michael Kaiser) of Lorain; and by one granddaughter, Kristin “Nicole” Guthrie of Lorain.  She was preceded in death by; her son, Max H. Thomas Jr. in 2017; two brothers, A. J. and George White; and by three sisters, Georgie Manson, Bonnette White and Jewell Thompson.  A graveside service will be held Thursday July 25, 2019 at 12 noon at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 3700 Center Road (Route 83), Avon.  Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, is serving the family.
