Ernestine E. Yockey (nee Skinner), 92, passed away Thursday October 10, 2019 at Westlake Rehab in Westlake. She was born November 4, 1926 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Mrs. Yockey had resided in North Ridgeville since 1989 and formerly lived in North Olmsted. Her greatest joy in life was to spend time with her children and grandchildren and she greatly supported all of them in their endeavors. Mrs. Yockey was a homemaker and she enjoyed yard work. Ernestine Yockey is survived by: two daughters, Jackie Simon (Chuck) and Cindy Bartosh; two sons, Mark Bartosh (Edna) and Eric Bartosh; nine grandchildren; and by seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Yockey; a son, Rudy “Al” Bartosh ; two sisters, Maxine and Lucille; and by a brother, Buddy. The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 15, 2019 from 5 to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday October 16, 2019 at 11am at the funeral home. Pastor David Swartz will officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either the National Kidney Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association.
