Helen A. Marshalko (nee Molnar), 89, of Avon Lake, passed away peacefully Monday October 14, 2019 at Independence Village in Avon Lake. She was born January 21, 1930 in Tams, West Virginia. Helen spent most of her life in the Cleveland area. She attended Mark Twain High School in West Virginia, and John Adams High School in Cleveland, graduating in 1948. Helen belonged to the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Cleveland. She liked to play bingo, and loved to bowl, which is where she met her late husband Steve. Helen is survived by: her daughter, Susan Finnegan (Pat); her daughter-in-law, Lisa Marshalko; four grandchildren, Patrick Finnegan, Mark Finnegan, Stephen Finnegan, and Stephen Marshalko. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 58 years, Steve J. Marshalko, her son Dr. Stephen Marshalko, two sisters, Irene Waszil, and Margaret “Muncie” Lang.
