Robert W. Christy

Robert W. Christy Jr., 75, of Elyria, passed away Thursday January 3, 2019 at the Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville.  He was born May 16, 1943 in Lodi and was a 1961 graduate of Medina High School.  Robert worked for General Motors as a tool and die maker at both the Elyria and Mansfield plants.  He retired in 2006 after 42 years of service.  He enjoyed watching old westerns, NASCAR Racing and spending the winter months in Florida with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.  Robert Christy is survived by; his wife, Janice (nee Aultz); his daughter, Dawn Murray (Bob) of Cape Coral, FL; his grandchildren, Makayla and Pierson Murray; two sisters, Carole Lynne Dennison (George) of Las Vegas, NV and Elaine Longbrake of Elyria; one brother, Jon Christy (Sandy) of Galloway, OH; and by many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by; his father, Robert W. Christy Sr.; his mother, Carole Lacquement (nee Light); his step-father, Arthur Lacquement; and by a niece, Jodi Vanfleet.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday January 9, 2019 from 5 to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.
