Robin “Red” Fletcher, 61, of Lorain, passed away at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland on Sunday, September 2, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. Robin was born March 17, 1957 in Cleveland and was a longtime resident of Lorain. He worked at Ford Motor Company as part of the assembly crew, at several of the area plants and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. Cars were his true passion, and when he wasn’t building them with Ford, he was building them himself. Robin loved to race, and could often be seen sporting #03 on his cars at the Lorain County Speedway and the Sandusky Speedway. Robin also enjoyed fishing and prided himself on his karaoke skills, favoring the oldies. He is survived by four children, Corbin Fletcher (Megan) of Cleveland, Cassandra Fletcher (Tim) of Medina, Cole Fletcher of Medina, and Robin Fletcher of Lorain; four grandchildren; his mother, Margaret Fletcher of Wooster; and by his siblings, John Fletcher and Margaret Schultz. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Fletcher; and his brother Clifford Fletcher. The family will receive friends on Thursday September 6, 2018, from 11:30am until the time of sharing memories at 1:30pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd. (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, in Avon.
