Rosalie King

Rosalie King (nee Sheets), 92, formerly of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord, peacefully, on Monday April 8, 2019 at Keystone Pointe in Lagrange.  She was born January 16, 1927 in Auburn, West Virginia.  She moved to Elyria in the early 1960’s and had been residing at Keystone Pointe for the past four years.   Rosalie was a 1945 graduate of Harrisville High School in Harrisville, West Virginia.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was the long-time caregiver for her late husband.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and was known as a wonderful cook. Rosalie was a member for over 50 years of First Baptist Church in Elyria where she was involved in the AWANA Ministry.  Rosalie King is survived by: three daughters, Judy Spieth (Ralph) of Lagrange, Connie Hardwick of Bronston, Kentucky and Kathy Cox (Greg) of Elyria; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by: her husband of 56 years, Kenneth K. King in 2002; two grandsons, Elijah Hardwick in 2017 and Jason Cox in 2008; two sisters, Louanna Hall and Freda Arnold; and by two brothers, Linn and Bryan Sheets.  The family will receive friends on Friday April 12, 2019 from 11am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  Pastor Craig Golden from First Baptist Church in Elyria will officiate the service.  The burial will be Saturday April 13, 2019 at 1pm at the IOOF Cemetery in Harrisville, West Virginia.  Mrs. King’s son-in-law, Ralph Spieth, will officiate the graveside service.  The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Elyria.
