Rosemary (Ellison) Hylton

Rosemary Hylton (nee Ellison) 67, of Elyria, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday September 4, 2017 following a short illness.  She was born in Doddridge County, West Virginia on January 22, 1950.  She had been a resident of Elyria for many years.  Rosemary was raised in Columbia Station and was a 1969 graduate of Columbia High School.  She worked as a nurses aid at Aristocrat of Berea for 23 years.  She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and taking family vacations.  Rosemary also enjoyed gardening.  She is survived by; her husband of 48 years, Jim Hylton; three daughters, Vikki Fitz (Dennis) of Wellington, Gwen Lindsey (Brian) of Amherst and Crystal Hylton of Amherst; seven grandchildren, Shannon, Gage, Tristen, Caleb, Jillian, Brianna and Nathan; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Kathy Keith (Gary) of AZ, Chris Richards (Rick) of Grafton and Mary Waite (Steve) of Elyria; two brothers, Ed Ellison (Jan) of Parma and John Ellison (Diane) of Medina; and by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John V. and Margaret S. (nee Watkins) Ellison.  The family will receive friends on Thursday September 7, 2017 from 6 to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  The funeral service will be Friday September 8, 2017 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Richards officiating.  Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.  The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society.  To leave the Hylton family an online condolence, please visit www.listonfuneralhome.com.
