Scott A. Knapp, 51, of Columbia Station, passed away Monday February 26, 2018 at his sister’s home in Grafton. Scott was born April 4, 1966 in Elyria and was raised in Columbia Station. He was a life-long resident of Lorain County. Scott was a 1984 graduate of Columbia High School. For 18 years, Scott worked as a corrections officer at both the Justice Center in Cleveland and at the Lorain Correctional Institute in Grafton. Scott was a drummer and he played with several area bands. He was a member of the Columbia Eagles Club and he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Scott is survived by; three sons, Nathan, Joseph and Dustin; two grandsons, Nathan and Jordan; his sister, Penny Hissom; two brothers, Jeff and Todd Knapp; his father and step-mother, Russell and Lucille Knapp; and by many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Knapp in 2012. The family is planning a memorial gathering to be held at a later date. Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, is serving the family
