Steven Sauer Obituary

Steven Sauer, 56, of North Ridgeville, passed away following a five-year illness on August 31, 2019 at the Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville. He was born on January 25, 1963 in Cleveland. Steven was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School and worked as a tool and dye maker for the American Wire and Cable company for 12 years, retiring in 2015. He loved nature, and enjoyed camping, lapidary, and hiking. He also liked the ocean, gardening, dragons, and cooking. Steven was a great father and a great friend and will be missed dearly. He is survived by: his two daughters, Gwendolynn Sauer, and Alexandra Sauer; his mother, Rosemary Loescher-Sauer; his father Kenneth Sauer (Jennifer): one sister, Jodi Carducci-Sauer; one brother, Matthew Sauer; his best friend, Jim Toth; and by his cat, Yew. Steven was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Yvonne Sauer (nee Jirousek).
