Alda J. “Chick” Wohleber (nee LaLonde), 79, of Grafton, passed away Tuesday December 15, 2020 at The Villa Camillus Nursing Center in Columbia Station following a long illness. She was born September 27, 1941 in Cleveland. Mrs. Wohleber had resided in Grafton for 29 years and prior to that she lived in North Ridgeville. She was a homemaker and a long-time member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville. Mrs. Wohleber enjoyed golfing, bowling, ceramics, painting and camping. She was also an avid lover of animals. She is survived by: her husband of 63 years, Earl; three daughters, Donna Harrah (John) of Avon, Kathy Knopf (Curt) of Elyria and Virginia “Ginny” Fry (Paul) of Avon Lake; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one sister, Racheal Knott of Westlake. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ralph and Laura (nee Clark) LaLonde; and a sister, Jacqueline Grant. A family visitation will be held on Sunday December 20, 2020 from 3-5pm at the Liston Funeral home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. A private graveside service will be held on Monday at St. Peter Cemetery in North Ridgeville. Father Robert Franco will officiate. The family will hold a Memorial Mass in the future and the time and date will be announced. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Friendship Animal Protective League of Lorain County.
