Alice P. Binder (nee Paul) 88, of Avon Lake, formerly of Westlake, went home to be with The Lord on Monday May 15, 2023 at Avon Hospital in Avon under the care of Cleveland Clinic Hospice. She was born March 7, 1935 in Parma and she was a 1953 graduate of Parma High School. Mrs. Binder had resided in Avon Lake for the past year and a half, and previously resided in Westlake for many years. She loved being a homemaker and did a wonderful job caring for her family and her home. Mrs. Binder also worked for several years as a cafeteria aid at Parkside Junior High School in Westlake. She received much joy from her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a woman of deep faith and was a member of Grace Church of North Olmsted. Alice Binder is survived by: her beloved husband of 67 years, Wilbur; three daughters, Karen Adamson (Glen) of North Ridgeville, Debbie Girard (Dayne) of Clemmons, North Carolina, and Jennifer Tatarczuk (Anthony) of Blufton, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Matthew (Kelly), Christopher, and Joy Adamson, Keli Schwert (Kevin), Jason Girard (Peytn), and Gavin Tatarczuk; six great-grandchildren, Samantha, Ava, Landon, Noah, Autumn, and Olivia; and her sister, Jeanette Pfister (Wilfred) of Strongsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy E. and Lucille (nee Walter) Paul. The family will receive friends on Friday May 19, 2023 from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm at the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME OF NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 Lorain Rd., (at Stearns Rd.). Pastor Dean Good from Grace Church of North Olmsted will officiate the service. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Westlake. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Grace Church of North Olmsted.
