Alma P Holbrook

Alma P. Holbrook (nee Treadway), 84, a long-time resident of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday March 4, 2020 at St. Johns Medical Center in Westlake. She was born on December 13, 1935 in Beckley, West Virginia. Alma worked as a dietitian for Elyria Memorial Hospital for several years. She enjoyed: spending as much time with her family as she could, traveling, and going to casinos to gamble. Alma was a member of the Elyria VFW post #1079, and the Elyria moose lodge, where she would like to play bingo with the other members. She is survived by: five children; Calvin Reed (Becky), Bruce Reed, Ken Bruce (Lynette), Debbie Thompson (Mike), and Karen Bruce (Wardell); four grandchildren, Bobby, Tiffany, Jessica, and Lindsey; four great grandchildren; two siblings, Margaret Spangler, and Tom Treadway (Dora); many nieces and nephews; and by her best friend, Shirley Wise. Alma was preceded in death by her Husband of 12 years, Victor “Whitey” Holbrook; her parents, George and Vella Treadway; and by two siblings, Della Hoover, and George Treadway Jr. The family welcomes friends to join them for a celebration of life on Sunday March 8, 2020, at the Elyria VFW post #1079, 500 S Abbe Rd, Elyria, from 1pm to 4pm.
