Andrew Ray Frame, 72, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, following a long, brave battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born in Gassaway, West Virginia on May 19, 1953.
Andrew spent the majority of his life in North Ridgeville, graduating from North Ridgeville High School in 1971-where he was a stellar athlete and excelled academically. After high school, he attended Ashland University in Ashland and graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in education in 1974. After graduating from Ashland, he was employed as a personal trainer at the Scandinavian Health Spa in Parma. He then went to work as a chemist at Rhenium Alloys in Elyria, and he worked there until his illness would no longer allow him to work.
A passionate follower of sports, he took great pride in cheering on his favorite teams, The Ohio State Buckeye’s, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Indians. A lifelong fan of Rock and Roll, he brought the same energy and passion to the way he lived-boldly, joyfully, and without regret.
Andy is survived by: his loving wife of over 40 years, Pamela (nee Murray); his son, Christopher Frame (Jennifer); his daughter, Alexandria Kerchofer (Jonathan); his granddaughter, Mackenzie Fox; five grandsons, Matthew and Austin Frame, and Kooper, Jaxton, and Jace Kerchofer; his aunt, Penelope Samples; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Matthew “Penn” and Charlotte (nee Young) Frame; his grandparents, Ray and Macel Young, and Orvil and Cora Frame; and many aunts, uncles, and friends that he loved dearly.
The family will receive friends on Friday August 8, 2025 from 2pm until the time of a Service of Remembrance at 5pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Pastor David Swartz will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either, The Parkinson’s Foundation (Parkinson.org) or to The Michael J. Fox Foundation (give.michaeljfox.org).
