Anna C. Spurling-Board

Anna C. Spurling-Board (nee Nielsen), 89, a longtime resident of Elyria, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Avon Place Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Avon. She was born November 8, 1935 in North Olmsted. Anna was a nurse for many years. She loved her career and worked until retiring at the age of 82. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, going to yard sales, and tending to her flower beds. Anna is survived by her six children, John, Charlene, Linda, Mike (Denise), Robert, and Chuck; 22 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and her three siblings, George, Janet, and Sharon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Dorothy (nee Dennis) Nielsen; two grandsons, and her sister Charolette. The family welcomes friends to join them on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 11am at the funeral home. Chaplain Michael Meyer will officiate the service.  Anna will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon following the service.
