Anna M. Ward, 50, a lifelong resident of Grafton, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 4:33pm (1633), at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, following a long battle with cancer. She was born January 5, 1975 in Boone County, West Virginia. Anna graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian from Hondros College of Nursing. She was a nurse at the Louis Stokes VA in Cleveland, where she loved taking care of veterans. The veterans held a special place for Anna, as she was the wife of a Navy Veteran. Anna was very dedicated to her family and loved watching her daughters perform in competition and sideline cheer. Growing up, Anna was a faithful member of Christian Unity Church in Grafton. She is survived by her loving husband Darwin Ward, 51; her son-in-law, and three daughters, Caleb, 22 and Angela Grieve, 22; Lilly Ward, 16; and Bethany “Gracie” Ward, 12.
