Arthur J Galligan, 94, a long time resident of Grafton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at University Hospitals of Elyria. He was born March 18, 1928 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Arthur graduated from Lilly High School in Pennsylvania. Following graduation, Arthur joined the United States Army, and served in the Korean War. He retired from GM after 25 years, where he worked as a machinist. Arthur enjoyed: hunting, fishing, playing cards, and family gatherings. He is survived by: two children, Jerry Galligan (Christy), and Ella Sink (Kenneth); 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Arthur was preceded in death by: his wife of 37 years, Geraldine (Jean); and his three sons, Richard, Phil, and Earl Galligan. The family welcomes friends to join them on Thursday April 14, 2022, from 11am to 1pm with the service beginning at 1pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. Father Bob Franko, from St, Peters Church in North Ridgeville will officiate.
