Barry O. Kopp, 62, a lifelong resident of Lorain County, passed away unexpectedly in Elyria at his residence on Friday, August 2, 2024. He was born September 27, 1961, in Elyria. Barry worked as a bartender at Chris’s Place in Elyria for many years and was very well known by the locals. He was a movie fanatic, and he enjoyed NASCAR, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and hunting. Barry is survived by his two daughters, Nicole Byrd (Derrick), and Heather Roberts; four grandchildren, Cheyanne Byrd, Aubrey Byrd, Kyra Byrd, and Dylan Byrd; his mother, Brenda Kopp; two brothers, Cary Kopp, and Ty Kopp; his sister, Shannon Tribble (Mike); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Kopp; and his brother, Terry Kopp. The family welcomes friends to join them on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 1pm to 3pm, with the service beginning at 3pm, at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial constructions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
