Benjaman David Shelpman

Ben David Shelpman, 65, a long time resident of Columbia Station, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital. He was born January 25, 1957, in Cleveland. Ben worked at the Midwest Forge Company as a die polisher for 41 years before retiring. He enjoyed being an outdoorsman, fishing, hunting, mowing the back 40, and gardening. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sharon (nee Cree); two children, Stephanie (Brandon), and Steven; six grandchildren, Jasmin, Haley, Travis, Michael, Matthew, and Madelyn; three great grandchildren, Raelynn, Mason, and Kaenan; two siblings, Bob, and Bonnie (Rick); his daughter-in-law, Viv; and many nieces and nephews. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Beverly; and his son, Shawn. The family welcomes friends to join them on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 6pm-8pm, at the at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The service will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, at 12pm. Pastor Dean Ciquemani will officiate. Entombment will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens, in Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Walk of Faith Community Center Food Bank.
