Bobby Jack Butler, 86, went home to join our Lord on Saturday, May 18, 2024. He was born November 21, 1937, in Julian, West Virginia, to the late George and Rosie Butler (nee Collins). Bobby had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 60 years. He was a faithful servant to his church, where he helped as a bus captain and a trustee. Bobby also started the Elyria Baptist Wrestling Ministry. He retired from Fabrizi Construction after 35 years. Bobby enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden but most of all, he enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, and paw paw. He shared Gods blessings not only with his family, but to all who met him. Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Loretta (nee Welch), two sons, Bobby J. Jr., and Tony Lance; his daughter, Janet Greene (Jeff); his son-in-law, Buddy Harmon; 10 grandchildren, Steve Harmon, Matthew Lance, Tony Lance Jr., Brock Greene, Debbie Lynn Brown, Stacy Harmon, Kristen Dennis, Julie Blank, Buddy Byers, and Kim Sugerik; 20 great grandchildren; and his sister, Linda Turley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Debbie Harmon; five brothers, George Jr., Jim, Junior, John, and David; and three sisters, Pauline, Ruth, and Betty Jo. The family welcomes friends to join them Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The funeral service will be Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 11am. Pastor Jim Deulley of Elyria Foursquare Church will officiate. Bobby will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
