Bobby Ray Davis, 77, a long-time resident of Lorain County, passed away following a short illness on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at UH Medical Center in Elyria. He was born October 28, 1946, in Barbourville, Kentucky. Bobby was an award-winning carpet installer for 35 years before retiring. After retirement he began working for his son at Tree Service as an equipment operator. Bobby was a do-it-yourself kind of guy, handyman, and enjoyed tinkering on tractors and cars. If you needed help, Bobby was the one you’d call. He is survived by his four children, Dwayne (Crystal), Jason (Gina), Tara (Jeremy), and Amanda (Russ); six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and his loving dog, Blue. Bobby was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Mae Davis; his parents, James and Amanda; his brother, General; and two sisters, Alene, and Shirley. The family welcomes friends to join them on Tuesday, September 17, at Harvest Ridge Church, 35600 Lorain Rd, North Ridgeville, from 12pm to 1:30pm, with the services beginning at 1:30pm. Pastor Willie Bias of Wellington Free Will Baptist Church will officiate. Bobby will be laid to rest at Butternut Ridge Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wellington Free Will Baptist Church.
