Brenda K. Domen (nee Tanner) (formerly Huffman), 73, of Wellington, went to be with The Lord unexpectedly, on October 29, 2025. She was born May 18, 1952 in Amherst and was a lifelong resident of Lorain County. Brenda was a graduate of Elyria High School, earned her Associates of Science degree in nursing, and was a registered nurse. She formerly worked at Center Ridge Health Campus in North Ridgeville as a unit manager, charge nurse, and instructor. She also formerly worked for Seasons of Care Home Health Care as a Nurse Manager. Brenda accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior at age 14 and has faithfully served Him throughout her life. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in LaGrange, where she was involved in the nursery and children’s ministries, and was a member of the church’s quilting club. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, cooking and baking, and spending precious time with her great grandchildren. Brenda Domen is survived by: two sons, Joe Huffman of Oberlin, and James Huffman (Kellie) of Carlisle Township; her step-daughter, Amy Domen Conley (Todd) of Ashland; five grandchildren, Taylor (Cheyenne), Ashley (Kyle), Zachary, Jacob, and Jenna; six great grandchildren, Holden, Felix, Faith, Adalynn, Theo, and Clayton; and three sisters, Donna Tanner-Boden, Janet Thomas, and Linda Tanner. She was preceded in death by: her husband, James Domen in 2015; and her parents, Lester R. Tanner, and Zulene (nee Ayres) Smink. The family will receive friends on Friday November 7, 2025 from 10 to 11am at First Baptist Church of LaGrange, 200 Church Street, LaGrange, OH. The Funeral Service will follow at 11am at the church with Pastor Noel Hack, officiating. Burial will be at River Road Cemetery in LaGrange Township. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Gideons International.
