Byrness E. (Holt) Haworth

Byrness E. Haworth (nee Holt), 103, a longtime resident of Elyria and formerly of Rocky River, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 18, 2025 at The Abbewood in Elyria.  She was born June 15, 1921 in Sioux City, Iowa.  Byrness was a veteran and served in The US Navy from 1943 to 1945.  She was stationed in Washington DC and worked as a stenographer.  Byrness enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, animals and card games.  She greatly enjoyed the time that she spent with her beloved family.  Byrness Haworth is survived by; her two children, Janet (Ray) and Ric (Roberta); four grandchildren, Forrest, Kendall (Deb), Preston (Michelle), and Randall; three great grandsons, Julian, Sebastian, and Trystian; and her nephew, Bill (Gayle).  She was preceded in death by; her husband of 45 years, Robert; and her three siblings, Vern, Esther, and Arnold.  Byrness’ cremains will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with her late husband.
