Carl E. Eldridge, 66, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday June 13, 2021 at UH Elyria Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born April 20, 1955 in Cleveland and resided in this area all of his life. Carl was retired from Drum Parts in Cleveland where he worked as a machinist for many years. He also formerly worked as a mechanic at the Yellow Cab Company in Cleveland. He was a member of Jones Road Congregational Church in Cleveland. He enjoyed video games, working on cars, camping, fishing and bike riding. His greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren whom he loved very much. Carl E. Eldridge is survived by: his daughter, Angela Eldridge of Parma; his son, Michael Eldridge of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Nieko, Rio and Reyna; three sisters, Bernice Hanzel (Rodney) of Grafton, Darlene Starling (Don) of Elyria, and Marilyn Anderson (Steve) of Columbia Station; four brothers, Roger of Grafton, Al (Silvia) of Medina, Dave of Elyria and William of Grafton; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory Eldridge and Joyce Eldridge (nee Garrett). The family will receive friends on Friday June 18, 2021 from 5 to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The funeral service will be Saturday June 19, 2021 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Rev. Floyd Costello from LaGrange United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Eaton Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.
