Casandra L. “Casi” Orick, 27, of Berea, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2020. Casi was born June 1, 1992 in Elyria. She was a life-long resident of the area and was raised in Columbia Station. She was employed in the Deli Department at Drug Mart in Brunswick for several years and she was an entertainer at Gi Gi Lounge in Brook Park. Casi was a free-spirited person and enjoyed many things. She was also a very loving mother and her daughter was the love of her life. She often said that becoming a mother was her biggest adventure. Casandra Orick is survived by: her daughter, Savannah Rae Komara; her father, Phil Wessell of Elyria; her grandparents, Diane and Ronnie Orick of Columbia Station and Barbara Wessell of Elyria; a great-grandfather, Vernon Vance of Branchland, WV; one sister, Natasha Orick of Elyria; two brothers, Tristen Orick and Logan Wessell, both of Columbia Station; two aunts, Hope Foss of Greshem, Oregon and Rhonda Orick of North Ridgeville; an uncle, Yancey Wessell of Columbus; two nephews and two nieces. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Brandi Orick in 2009; and by her Grandfather, Jerry Wessell in 2006. Private services will be held by the family and burial will be at Columbia Township Cemetery (Route 82) in Columbia Station. A gathering to celebrate Casi’s life is being planned for in the future and will be announced by her family. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Casandra Orick Memorial Fund at any Key Bank branch.
