Charles R. "Buddy" Manning

Charles R. “Buddy” Manning 78, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2026 in Elyria.  He was born on July 21, 1947 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He had resided in Elyria for many years.  Mr. Manning was a veteran and served in the US Army.  He was formerly employed at Mom’s Open Kitchen in Elyria.  He enjoyed playing cards and he loved riding his bicycle all over the Elyria area.  Charles Manning is survived by: his niece, Robin Oates of Elyria; his nephew, William Dunbar of Sheffield Lake; and several great nieces and great nephews.  He was preceded in death by: his parents, James Richard and Mary Ruth (nee Johnson) Manning; his two sisters, Peggy Piercy and Linda Kobb; and his niece, Lisa Dunbar.  An interment service will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2026 at 2:45pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
