Charles Edward Weekley, 79, of Lagrange, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at his residence. He was born December 29, 1946, in West Union, West Virginia and resided in Lorain County for 40 years. Mr. Weekley worked as a punch-press operator for 30 years before retiring from Advance Brush/Milwaukee Brush. He was a member of Faith Baptist Temple in North Ridgeville for nearly 40 years, where he was involved in the bus ministry, Sunday school, and the security team. Mr. Weekley had a special love for missionaries around the world. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, farming, watching westerns (especially Gunsmoke), wildlife, camping, 4-wheeling, and Chevrolet pickup trucks.
Charles Weekley is survived by his wife, Laura Ellen (nee Bolden); his children, Stephen, James (Aubrey), Graceanna, and Sandra (Dan); his grandchildren, Callan, Henley, William, and Wyatt; his siblings, JoAnn, Judy, Bud, and Paul (Sharon); his mother-in-law, Judy Bolden; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bear. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Vera (nee Bailey); siblings, Clarence, Fern, Jack, Lee, Bob, and Ron; four nephews; his father-in-law, Curtis Bolden; and his mother-in-law, Georgia Starkey (nee Dunigan).
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Temple, 34361 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the church, with Pastor James Barta officiating. Burial will follow at Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Eaton Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the missions fund of Faith Baptist Temple.
