Connie Marie (Brown) Kerns

Connie Marie Kerns (nee Brown), 77, of Elyria passed away peacefully on Saturday April 22, 2023 at UH Elyria Medical Center.  She was born on January 15, 1946 in Port Clinton.  A life-long Elyria resident, Connie was a 1964 graduate of Elyria High School.  She was a homemaker.  Connie formerly attended Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church in Elyria and she grew up in the Lutheran faith at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Elyria.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting, painting and antiquing.  Connie also enjoyed watching scary movies with her family! She is survived by: two sons, Mark and Chris (Lydia) Kerns, both of Elyria; three grandchildren, Allison, Brandon, and John David Kerns; and her brother, Steve Brown (Regina) of Lakeville, Minnesota.  She was preceded in death by: her husband, Carlon Kerns in 2004; her son, David Kerns in 2006; her sister, Barbara Anderson in 2016; her brother, Rick Brown in 2015; and her parents, Lawrence and Jeanne (nee Druyor) Brown. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 10, 2023 at 11:00am at Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.  Pastor Paul Pater from Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church in North Ridgeville, will officiate the service.  Interment will be at Ridgeville Cemetery in North Ridgeville.  The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
