Cynthia E. “Cindi” Jordan (nee Cooke), 75, of North Olmsted, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday May 26, 2026 at O’Neill Healthcare in North Olmsted.  She was born November 12, 1950 in Dearborn, Michigan.  Cindi was raised in Michigan and formerly resided for in Northern California.  She was a Registered Nurse and graduated from the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Locally, Cindi was the Nursing Supervisor at Community Health Partners (now Mercy Health) in Lorain from 2002 until her retirement in 2011.  She was also formerly the Nursing Supervisor at Auburn Faith in Auburn, California.  Cindi lived a faith driven life and she believed the Bible.  She was a selfless servant and a wonderful care giver.  She was proud of raising her grandchildren.  Cindi also enjoyed traveling, skiing, and dancing.  Cynthia Jordan is survived by: her three daughters, Sarah Jordan, Elizabeth Layton (Tyler), and Kimberly Jordan-Bailey (Rebecca); her 11 grandchildren, David, Caleb, Faith, Aliyah, Jacob, Alliance, Angel, Noel, Audrey, Truth, and Crimson; her two great grandchildren, Aramis and Ava; and her sister, Susan Leonard (Clyde).  She was preceded in death by: her parents, Calvin and Shirley (nee Johnson) Cooke; her brother, Calvin Cooke Jr; and her step-siblings, Paul Alfoldy, LaVerne Ankenbruck, and Judy Banner.  Services are pending.  The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to God Behind Bars Christian Prison Ministry.  For many years, Cindi was weekly involved in prison ministry to the female inmates at the Nevada County (CA) Jail.
