Dale E. Karp

Dale E. Karp, 78, a long-time resident of LaGrange, passed away following a long illness at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center on Wednesday April 14,2021. He was born on September 7, 1942 in Cleveland. Dale worked as a finance manager for Mellon Financial for 20 years, retiring in 1983. Dale enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, the stock market, coaching, playing, and watching baseball. Dale’s favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees. He is survived by: 3 children, Greg Karp (Maureen), Stacy Papes (Jim), and Kristen Kelley (Paul); a daughter-in-law, Lori Karp; 11 grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Sarah, Jenna, Steven, Samantha, Garrett, Doug, Kate, Will, and Sophia; 3 great grandchildren; 5 siblings, Sharon, Nancy, Gary, Kelly, and Dawn; and by many nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by: his parents, Andrew and Kathryn Karp; his son, Brian Karp, and 3 sisters, Gail, Terry and Andrea. A private family visitation will be held at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville.
