Dana “Dink” Greenlee, 94. A longtime resident of North Ridgeville went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was born November 18, 1928 in Rutledge, Tennessee. A talented baseball player, Dink was scouted for the New York Yankee’s, but unfortunately, they were looking for a right handed pitcher and he was a lefty. Dana was hired at the Chevy plant in 1951, and continued working there for 37 years, retiring in 1989. Dink loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, golfing and mechanical tinkering. He was an accomplished pool player, and a licensed HAM radio operator. He is survived by his two daughters, Dona (Michael) and Jody; granddaughter, Jessica Hatcher, who was the light of his life; nephews, Verell and Terell Metcalf, Jimmy Dean Greenlee; and his niece, Tena Roberts. Dana was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53years, Judith Greenlee (nee Thorn) and his son Jeff Greenlee (Patty); his parents, Horace and Minnie; and seven siblings, Boyd, Myrl, GD, Floyd, Rosemary, Una Mae, and Don. The family welcomes friends to join them Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm at the Liston Funeral home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The service will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 11am. The burial will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. Pastor Chuck Behrens will officiate.
