David Marlon, 72, a longtime resident of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake. He was born April 11, 1952, in Cleveland. David worked as a skilled machinist for Swagelok in Strongsville for over 25 years before retiring. David took great pride in his family, and enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball team, and attending his grandchildren’s events. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed playing guitar. David was a member of multiple bowling leagues, and was proud of bowling two games of 300. He is survived by his three children, Jennifer (Ryan), Lisa (Tim), and Bryan; the mother of his children, Suzanne; two grandchildren, Taylor, and Josh; three sisters, Caren (Jerry), Michelle (Jim), and Angel "Kim" (Joey); and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Athena. The family welcomes friends to join them on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm, and Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10am to 11am, with the service beginning at 11am, at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. David will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Avon. Pastor Dave Swartz will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
