David W. “Dave” Muck, 83, of North Ridgeville, peacefully went home to be with the Lord at his residence on Thursday May 26, 2022. He was born February 1, 1939 in Buffalo, New York. Dave had resided in North Ridgeville for 50 years. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and he was a veteran, serving in the US Army from 1961-1963. Dave was a church planter and for many years helped to plant churches throughout the US while serving as the financial officer for the Fellowship of Baptist for Home Missions in Elyria. He retired from the Food Service Department at the Elyria Foundry in 2016 after 10 years of service. Dave was a current member of First Baptist Church in LaGrange and was a former charter member of Abbe Road Baptist Church in Elyria. He was an avid fisherman. David W. Muck is survived by his beloved family: his wife of 61 years, Yvonne (nee Jurrens); his son, Brad Muck (Amy) of North Olmsted; his daughter, Michele Forrider (Joe) of Chicago, Illinois; two granddaughters, Kathryn Kent (Paul) and Hannah Forrider; his brother, Ken Muck (Denise) of Middlebury, Indiana; his sister, Carolyn Ellis of Hudsonville, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lila (nee Mojonnier) Muck. The family will receive friends on Friday June 3, 2022 from 5:30pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 7:30pm at First Baptist Church of LaGrange, 200 Church Street, LaGrange. Rev. Noel Hack and Dave’s brother, Rev. Ken Muck, will co-officiate. The burial will be private at Sugar Ridge Cemetery in North Ridgeville. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 2173 N. Ridge Road, #H, Lorain, OH 44055.
