David C. Taleff

David C. Taleff, 66, of North Ridgeville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday May 24, 2023 at Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital in Avon.  He was born on March 18, 1957 in Cleveland and he was a 1975 graduate of North Olmsted High School.  David also attended the University of Akron.  He had resided in North Ridgeville for 26 years.  Dave was a successful entrepreneur and started his own retail clothing business, Britchs, at the age of 23 with three locations in North Ridgeville, Elyria and Vermilion.  He later transitioned to providing equipment and uniforms for first responders throughout the world and had a very fulfilling lifelong sales career.  He was an active member of St. Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church in Avon, where he held several positions over the years. He was also a member of Rotary International and was a Past President of the Rotary Club of Oberlin.  Dave loved soccer and he played for many years. He enjoyed grilling, making wine, being outdoors, working in his yard and having afternoon coffee. He was a family man and his wife and girls meant everything to him.  David C. Taleff is survived by: His beloved wife of 36 years, Vesna (nee Georgievski); his two daughters, Tatjana Taleff (Matthew Padgett) and Dr. Natasha Taleff; his sister Nadine Tasevski (George); his brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Nikolina Sevis; and many other beloved extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Magdalene (nee Steve) Taleff. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 30, 2023 from 6 to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30pm. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday May 31, 2023 at 10:30am at St. Clement Macedonian Orthodox Church, 38665 French Creek Rd., Avon.  Father Zoran Zdravev will officiate.  Burial take place at St. Theodosius Orthodox Cemetery in Brooklyn.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Clement Macedonian Orthodox Church.
