Delores E. Traxler

Delores E. Traxler (nee Shannon), 92, a long-time resident of Elyria, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Lake Pointe Health Center, in Lorain. She was born November 23, 1932, in Tunnelton, West Virginia. Delores worked as a media aid for Westwood Jr High for many years before retiring. She loved to care for people and volunteered at New Life Hospice for over 15 years. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, and painting ceramics. Delores is survived by her son Jeffrey Traxler; and her sister, Helen Dugan. Delores was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank “Bud” Traxler; her parents, Roy and Rachel Shannon; her sister, Tillie; and two brothers, Ralph and Darrell. The family welcomes friends to join them on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm, at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. The service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 1:30pm. Pastor Troy Smith will officiate. Delores will be laid to rest at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, in Amherst.
