Donald R. Brockwell

Donald R. Brockwell, 90, of Grafton, passed away September 28, 2025 at O’Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  He was born November 13, 1934 in Greenville, Tennessee and resided in Lorain County for many years. Mr. Brockwell worked for over 40 years as a Tool Crib Operator at Abex Corporation in Brook Park.  He enjoyed fishing, flea markets, collecting tools, and his family.  Donald Brockwell is survived by: his wife of 67 years, Betty Juanita Brockwell (nee Adkins); his daughter, Charolette Brockwell (Jay Lyons) of Akron; a sister, Shirley Nanny of Greenville, Tennessee; many brother’s-in-law, and sister’s-in-law, whom he cherished with love and humor; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Lacey and Julie (nee Campbell) Brockwell; four sisters, Margaret, Tina, Agnes, and Kathy; and a brother, Bobby.  The family will receive friends on Monday October 6, 2025 from 11am to 1pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with Rev. Kathy Hartzell officiating.  Burial will be private at LaPorte Cemetery in Carlisle Township.
