Dora L. (Clark) Honaker

Dora L. Honaker (nee Clark), 66, of Cleveland, passed away following a short illness at Village of the Falls in Olmsted Falls on Friday September 9, 2022.  She was born January 7, 1956 in Cleveland and she was a life-long resident of the Cleveland area.  Dora was a 1973 graduate of West Tech High School in Cleveland and a graduate of the St. John’s School of Nursing in Cleveland.  She also received further training at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland where she worked as a registered nurse for 29 years.  She was a member of Pathways Baptist Church in Cleveland.  Dora had many interests including NASCAR Racing, decorating her home for the holidays, and feeding the birds.  She was also an avid fan of anything Disney and of the Cleveland Browns.  Dora also loved her dogs.  She is survived by: her son, Michael Honaker (Denise) of Cleveland; her father, Kenneth Clark of Grafton (Eaton Township); three step-great grandchildren; her sister, Patricia Nubbie (Jim) of Grafton (Eaton Township); two nieces and two nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Canterbury (nee Cantley) in 2009.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 13, 2022 from 5 to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  The funeral service will be Wednesday September 14, 2022 at 12 noon at the funeral home where the family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service.  Pastor Jim Sollars from Pathways Baptist Church in Cleveland and Pastor Jim Barta from Faith Baptist Temple in North Ridgeville, will co-officiate the service.  Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted.
